Gravel

I was just having smug thoughts about my dry eyes; they really haven't been bothering me much. Until today.

(Those darn thoughts of joy)

I forgot how annoying it can be. The blinking. The irritation.

The 'I think there is gravel in my eye' feeling.

Geesh. I will try to be more grateful when they feel better.

Hi Lisa,
I love the title of your blog! I have lupus, Sjogren's, Graves, etc. I too believe that life is to be enjoyed. Your wry humor is so sinmiliar to mine! I am 49 (fifty in August. I still have 6 weeks before that), got married for the second time three weeks ago, have a 22 year old son whom I adore and a cat who runs my house. I had to retire from teaching in December and can't tell you how much I miss it. Torturing children is not just a job, it's a calling. :)
